| The VitiMeteo Phenology Model simulates the phenological stages of grapevine development using a temperature-based approach. The graphs in the model provide an intuitive way to analyze grapevine development and assess forecasts. This article explains how to interpret and utilize the graphs.

| == The Graphs == | ||
| |||
| Above the graph, the development of the vines are simulated. The phenology model uses the temperature-sum model created by Molitor et al. (2014). The temperature sum is an addition of the daily average temperature. Based of the temperature sum it is possible to use the BBCH scale, which is colorcoded and depicted in the overview above the graph.

| === Huglin Index === | ||
| |||
| Within the phenology model there is a description of the huglin index. In the graph you can compare the current vintage to previous vintages. What the huglin index is, is described [[here>>doc:Entwurf.Tools.Huglin index.WebHome]].

| === Blattwachstumsmodell/leaf area growth model ===
| |||
| Within the the phenology tab you will find the possibility to compare the growth of vine leaves over the years. On the y-axis the simulated growth area is described in cm2. The model is based on the leaf area growth model, written by Prof. Dr. Schultz (1992) (2004).
